New World Street is very old and at the same time romantic and charming street in Prague. This hidden street is out of tourist crowds and at the same time it is very close to the castle. Ath its end there is a mammoth fortification wall which was built of thousands bricks and it makes it very impressive. At the other end there is the street that leads you to the Prague Castle. The shape of this street is winding and you can admire little houses along its sides. Their low doorways keep their original atmosphere and it seems like a quiet village road not a part of a bustling city.
It was found in 1320 to be outside of Hradčany with the Prague castle as its central point. This part was newly inhabited. Unfortunately it was burned during the Hussite War.
